Transneft Siberia finished reconstruction of Ust-Balyk – Omsk oil pipeline in flood-land of the Irtysh river Transneft Siberia has connected two sites of linear portion of standby legs “B” and “V” of Ust-Balyk — Omsk oil trunk pipeline (OTPL) to the system.

As part of the program of development of Transneft Siberia, JSC a site with length of 6,766 meters was replaced at standby leg “B” of Ust-Balyk — Omsk OTPL; a pipeline with length 6,929 meters was replaced at standby leg “V”. Construction and installation works at the facility started in December 2014. Pipeline reconstruction was conducted in the area of responsibility of Tobolsk and Ishim Oil Trunk Pipeline Departments.

Despite the severe geoclimatic conditions (the works were conducted in flood-land of the Irtysh river, which due to anomalously high level of floodwater was significantly water-flooded) new sites assembling, hydraulic testings and oil pipeline connecting to the system were completed within the established time limit complying with all technical regulations and requirements.
