Rostov NPP: power unit №3 shut down for routine overhaul

The power unit n№3 will be disconnected from the network and shut down for repair works on tower evaporative cooling in accordance with the application, agreed with the Joint dispatch control after power systems of the South and the operating organization JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom".

There are no violations of limits and conditions of equipment safe operation.

Preventative overhaul with partial refueling and performing of routine repairs of basic equipment according to the annual schedule of repairs will start on the power unit № 1 of the Rostov NPP on September 15.

The radiation background at the plant and the surrounding area is unchanged and is at the level, which corresponds to the normal operation of power and do not exceed the natural background values.
