BVP Holds Successful Trials of New Pneumatic Drive

Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant has held successful preliminary factory trials of a double-acting pilot pneumatic drive with hydraulic backup, complete with a 300 mm nominal diameter ball valve capable of withstanding 8.0 MPa of pressure.

The product is intended for creating an effort for opening or closing the ball valve’s spindle by the pipeline’s governing medium. BVP’s pneumatic drives are made with a hydraulic backup, but are easily switched to the mechanical mode. This is one of the advantages this item has compared to similar products by other manufacturers.

“Launching the pneumatic drives will give the factory a competitive edge and will enable us to expand fittings production and deliveries to Gazprom sites. Additionally, the factory can secure its position on the pipeline fittings market by offering clients new high-quality items produced by BVP,” said BVP’s Managing Director, Alexander Kozhevnikov, commenting the successful trials.
