Naftogaz retains legal advisers for arbitration proceedings with Gazprom

Naftogaz retained these services in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement". The firm was chosen due to its extensive experience representing buyers’ interests in energy and natural gas. The expected cost of the services is €2.74 million. The firm also has successful experience in conducting proceedings against Gazprom. In particular, Wikborg Rein acted in arbitration proceedings for RWE CZ against Gazprom Export. These proceedings ended in 2013, resulting in a judgment in favor of RWE. The company also has significant experience in out-of-court settlement of gas pricing disputes.
