Turboatom is modernizing the equipment for Novovoronezhskaya NPP

Workshops of the enterprise started manufacturing eight modules of the first condenser case, its assembly and handing over to the customer are scheduled for the beginning of the following year.

The production of the equipment is expected to be fully completed in May 2015. The start-up of power unit with a new condenser is scheduled for 2015. The condenser consists of two cases comprising 8 modules in each one.

Under the contract signed in 2013 "Turboatom" will replace two condensers with tube systems made of cupronickel alloys for turbines No.13, 14 with the capacity of 500 MW by modular condensers with stainless tube systems at Novovoronezhskaya NPP. It will improve the water-chemistry conditions at the power plant, exclude water leakages into water space and air inflows into vapor space of the condenser. Resulting from it, the operation life of equipment is expected to increase, its efficiency, reliability and safety are likely to improve.

The scope of obligations of the enterprise includes design, manufacture and supply of equipment followed by supervision installation.

The startup of the first turbine with a new condenser No.14 was in 2014.
