"Turboatom" has manufactured and tested a runner for Novosibirskaya HPP

Further, the runner and turbine mechanisms will be passed to package and shipment.

OJSC "Turboatom" is performing the modernization of seven ПЛ-20-B-800 type Kaplan hydroturbines replacing runners with the diameter of 8 m at Novosibirskaya HPP. The company will also supply embedded parts, turbine mechanisms, including guide vanes, turbines shafts, bearings, seals, etc. At the moment, one turbine is modernized and is being commissioned, one turbine is being prepared for launching, one turbine is in the final stage of production with shipment scheduled for 2014.

The modernization is performed in two stages. The first stage includes supply and installation of the turbine without replacing generator, resulting from it the unit capacity will increase from 58,6 to 72 MW. At the second stage after the reconstruction of generator a design capacity will increase up to 82 MW.
