Turboatom has completed the production of equipment for Kamskaya HPP

Previously, the plant manufactured and shipped runner and guide vane including new turbine cover with adjusting ring, lower ring and blades of the guide vane.

At present, mechanisms of hydraulic turbine are being installed at the power plant supported by experts of "Turboatom".

According to the contract signed in December 2010, "Turboatom" is performing deep reconstruction of four Kaplan type hydroturbines No.15, 16, 17, 18 with nominal capacity of 21,8 MW and runner diameter of 5 m at Kamskaya HPP. Resulting from the modernization, design capacity of each hydraulic unit is expected to increase from 21,8 MW to 25 MW and maximum capacity is expected to be 28 MW and the reliability and environmental safety of units are likely to increase as well. The service life of the turbines will increase by 40 years.

"Turboatom" will also carry out supervision installation and will participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning of the turbine.

Since 1996 OJSC "Turboatom" has modernized 17 turbines at Kamskaya HPP, the 18th turbine is being installed.
