RAO UES of the East arranges GTU foundations at Vostochnaia CHPP

As of today, contractors have completed arrangement of a piled foundation for GTU No. 3. Reinforcement of the footing and arrangement of piled foundations for GTU No. 1 and GTU No. 2 are currently in progress. Concrete casting of the foundations for all three GTUs is scheduled to be fully completed by the beginning of October.

Upon installation of the foundations, basic equipment will be installed on them. In June, three gas turbine units (GTU) LM6000 PF Sprint manufactured by General Electric were delivered to the construction site of Vostochnaia CHPP. The electric capacity of each GTU is 46.5 MW.

Today, works are being performed at the site of the future Vostochnaia plant for construction of the CHPP main building. Besides, contractors are transporting the existing equipment of the plant in compliance with the method statement for construction works. Over 200 workers and 49 units of equipment are daily engaged on site.

The capacity of the new combined heat and power plant will amount to 139.5 MW of electric power, and 421 Gcal/hr and 11 Gcal/hr of thermal power in terms of hot water and steam, respectively. The plant commissioning is scheduled for 2015. Natural gas will be used as fuel.
