Turboatom has shipped the last batch of equipment for Dnepro HPP-II

As a result, the acceptance act was signed that all controlled parameters conform to the requirements and are accepted by the customer. Besides, guide vane with blades of guide vane and turbine cover and turbine mechanisms were manufactured and sent to the shipment. Then the equipment will be packed and shipped to the station on schedule.

Currently, the hydropower plant is performing installation of embedded parts of the hydraulic unit No. 18.

Under the contract signed in 2011 OJSC "Turboatom" modernizes three propeller-type turbines No. No. 11, 17, 18 replacing with Kaplan type hydrounits for Dnepro HPP-II. After modernization the unit turbine capacity is expected to increase from 115 MW to 122 MW, the average efficiency will reach 93,5% and the runner diameter is likely to increase from 6,8 to 7 m.

The start-up of hydrounit is planned for January 2015.
