Turboatom has been commissioned thermal electric furnace

The furnace is designed for heat treatment of forgings and blanks made ​​of carbon, alloy and stainless steel weighing up to 12 tons maximum processing temperature reaches 1100°C. Oven capacity is 5 m³, depth - 4.05 m, height - 1, 6 m, width - 1, 7 m. Equipment is fully automated.

The installation of the new equipment will significantly improve the quality of heat treatment of forgings. Modern ceramic and fibrous lining will reduce heat loss by 25-30%, which will save energy. Also will be increased the culture production in the enterprise as a whole.

Under the contract, the company Rico has supplied equipment, installation supervision, commissioning and training of personnel to operate the electric furnace.

According to Chief Engineer of OJSC "Turboatom" Grigoriy Ishchenko, in the process of reconstruction of metallurgical enterprises in 2012-2014 is scheduled to commission  9 heat treatment furnaces ( 6 gas and 3 electric ) , 5 of them in the forge, 3 in the foundry and one steam turbine in the workshop. Currently have been commissioned seven thermal furnaces, 4 gas and 3 electric.
