Turboatom has modernized another machine

Before the modernization "IS800" was intended for work in the assembly line and processed details only on 3 coordinates: milling, drilling and execution of boring works of blanks.

While improving the machine was equipped with two special turning tables owing to which on the machine there was the opportunity to produce rotary work of curved surfaces on 4 coordinates. On the machine the new NC system was installed by German company “Siemens” in addition motors and electric drives were replaced.

The spindle speed was significantly increased that allowed to achieve higher degree of purity of processing blanks. Also the specialists of Chief Technologist Department of "Turboatom" developed and implemented the program of blades processing on this machine.

The efficiency of upgraded equipment has increased by several times: "On this machine per one shift from 5 to 10 blades can be processed there was no such opportunity before modernization " - says Deputy Chief Mechanic Sergey Zhuk.

The modernization has considerably improved equipment characteristics - their accuracy, operation speed and ease of operation have increased.
