Baltic NPP: Nuclear service building walls of Unit 1 erected up to elevation +4.50 m

The construction is carried out by the contractor SPA Mostovik, which is supervised by Rosenergoatom’s branch, the Construction Directorate of Baltic NPP, and the principal contractor, NIAEP.
 
The nuclear service building is a cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure with a number of service rooms, several laboratories and shops. It is build with concrete grouts that exclude propagation of radiation.
 
The work continues at other Baltic Unit 1 facilities. In the administration building the construction workers of SMU-1 LLC completed concreting of the floor and the work proceeds to erect walls up to elevation 0.00 m. According to the approved target plan, rebars are being installed at the floor at elevation -3.70 m in the safety building.
 
Beyond the construction site of main buildings and structures of the nuclear power plant the work proceeds to strengthen slopes of the access railway. Also, installation and backfill of off-site service water supply lines are carried out.
